PINES AT SUNRISE
- “Pines at Sunrise” is a rectangular wicker tray measuring 18” (L) X 12 1/2” (W) X3” (H).
- Wicker is a generic term for “woven”. This tray is woven with round reed, which is the pith of rattan.
- There is a 1/4’ glass insert with a pencil cut. The glass not only protects the painting, but also, allows you to functionally serve your guests.
- My trays offer multiple uses: serving, decorative, altars etc.
- The Japanese painting technique is Nihonga. Nihonga is a two-brush method used when painting on surfaces that are hard, smooth, and less absorbent than paper and silk. The first brush carries water with which the artist blends the pigment.
- Pines are one of the symbols in the Japanese culture that depict strength.
- Pine (Pinus sylvestis, Japan) is used in the alternative healing community as a flower essence. Its mantra is “I bury the past to create a successful future” Judy Griffin PhD
